The Blue Hills Sports & Spine location in Plymouth opened in 2009.
The facility is conveniently located inside The Medical Center at the Park building at 45 Resnik Road. The Suite is easily accessible on the first floor near the main entrance. Located at the corner of Route 3 and Route 44, patients easily access this facility from all directions near and far utilizing route 3 from the North and South and route 44 from the West. The facility is a 2300 square foot facility and is nicely equipped with an open gym area and plenty of strength & conditioning equipment.
Plymouth’s core philosophy is to fix the root causes of every client’s pain and dysfunction to consistently improve quality of life.

Meet Our Team Members At Plymouth, MA
John J.
Owner/Physical Therapist- John is a graduate of Springfield College where he received his Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy in 2000.
- John had the opportunity to complete an inpatient orthopedics internship in Birmingham, Alabama where he had the fortunate experience to work alongside world renowned Orthopedic Surgeon James Andrews as well as nationally renowned Physical Therapist Kevin Wilk.
- Rehabilitating professional athletes immediately out of surgery was a special experience that fit nicely with John’s background as a collegiate starting pitcher and NCAA 1st team All-New England Baseball All-Star.
- Immediately following college graduation, John was a natural selection for a full-season sports medicine fellowship with the New England Patriots NFL team.
- John transitioned into outpatient orthopedic care following his exciting stint in the NFL. He has since spent the past several years developing specific skills to assist patients of all abilities.
- John’s unique experiences have allowed him to develop a treatment approach that combines focused manual treatment, flexibility training, core stabilization, and a progressive strengthening program to help each patient achieve their maximum functional recovery.
- John has also worked in an industrial work hardening center where he had the opportunity to develop extensive work conditioning programs for a variety of occupational injuries.
Regardless of the source of injury, John thoroughly evaluates each and every patient and works closely with them to develop their own individual goals and expectations of treatment to maximize their recovery in a timely manner. - John continues to play baseball as a participant in multiple Boston men’s baseball leagues and also enjoys hitting the golf links when time allows which officially makes him an adult weekend warrior.
Brenda O.
Physical Therapist- Brenda graduated from Boston University in 1977 where she received her BS in Physical Therapy.
- Brenda has 40+ years of clinical experience in orthopedics and sports medicine.
- Brenda has previously held a few prestigious management roles and has worked with many local orthopedic surgeons.
- Brenda has pursued special training in manual therapies including myofascial release, strain-counterstrain, and cranio-sacral therapy.
- She enjoys treating Cervicogenic headaches, TMJ, and Vestibular disorders and also spent some time doing home care where she specialized in fall prevention strategies in the geriatric population.
- Recently, Brenda became Dry Needling certified and added that skill to her vast array of therapy knowledge.
- When Brenda isn’t in the office she enjoys time at the beach with her grandson who is her number 1 fan.
Flo M.
Physical Therapist Assistant- Flo is one of our highly focused and talented Physical Therapist Assistants. She is our most senior level PTA with over 20 years of experience in the provision of physical therapy services in an orthopedic setting.
- Flo obtained her Associates Degree from Massasoit Community College in 1998 and prior to that, worked as a Chiropractic Assistant. She has a vast knowledge of physical therapy principles and theories for all diagnoses.
- Flo truly enjoys working with patients suffering from TMJ headaches and cervical dysfunction and has taken many continuing education courses in these areas of treatment.
- Flo has been Graston certified for many years.
- Flo enjoys spending time with her family and particularly enjoys learning about the history of our area and the New England region.
Sabrina A.
Physical Therapist Assistant- Sabrina graduated from University of Massachusetts Boston in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree.
- After working in the fitness industry and as a personal trainer, she went back to school to receive her Associates Degree in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Bay State College in 2006.
- Sabrina has been practicing as a licensed PTA in the outpatient orthopedic setting for more than 15 years.
- Sabrina was a Boston marathon participant in 2005 and in her spare time she enjoys running, weight training, outdoor activities and spending time with her family.
Joseph C.
Physical Therapist- Joe received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Tufts University in 2022. Prior to that he spent his undergraduate days at St. Joseph’s College of Maine where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science while also excelling in the collegiate baseball ranks as a catcher.
- In 2015 Joe was selected as Player of the Year for the Greater Northeast Athletic Conference. This recognition helped him be chosen to play professional baseball for the next 2 years following his undergraduate graduation.
- In his life after professional baseball, Joe became a certified strength and conditioning coach (CSCS) and worked as the head strength and conditioning coach at Atlantic Sports Performance. It is here where he found his love for training high school, college and professional athletes with his unique, personalized programs that he tailored to fit each individual’s specific needs and goals.
- Joe was always viewed as a leader on the field while playing the pivotal role as a catcher in both the collegiate and professional ranks. His interest in physical rehabilitation from injury grew from his many unique experiences as an athlete and as a strength coach. These experiences were the foundation of his evolving special interest in recovery from injury and ultimately prompted him to go on and advance his studies to become a physical therapist.
- Overall, Joe is a results-driven physical therapist with a variety of experiences leading and coaching other individuals to obtain their optimum success.
- When Joe is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. In his spare time you may find him at the gym or on the links attempting to play golf.
Hayley W.
Physical Therapist- Hayley graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Bridgewater State University in 2015. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Franklin Pierce University in 2018.
- Hayley has always had a love for orthopedic sports medicine and pediatric orthopedics which is why she chose to focus on these areas when doing her clinical rotations.
- Prior to joining Blue Hills Sports & Spine, Hayley worked in a busy outpatient orthopedic clinic where she advanced her career to the role of clinic manager while working closely with a group of orthopedic doctors as part of a comprehensive medical team.
- Hayley’s outpatient treatment interests include neck pain, general orthopedics, and post-operative rehabilitation. She enjoys the utilization of manual therapy techniques including instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) and Kinesio-taping.
- Hayley believes that her ability to create progressive functional strength training programs in conjunction with her ability to educate and communicate with her patients has created a strong foundation for her success as a clinician.
- Hayley’s interests outside of the clinic include spending time with her husband and daughter, spending time outdoors, exercising in the weight room, and cheering on her favorite New England sports teams.
